Power Lunch

Power Lunch is a lunchtime reading enrichment program that matches elementary school students and corporate volunteers. On an assigned day each week, volunteers go to the school and read a book with their students over lunch.

Volunteer Reading Partners:
- Promote reading for pleasure by reading aloud to students, sharing favorite stories, and talking about books.
- Enhance students’ self-esteem and encourage success by providing consistent, weekly attention.
- Are afforded an opportunity to participate in a meaningful and rewarding program while missing little or no work time.

Our corporate sponsors provide the human and financial resources needed to operate the Power Lunch program.

How does Power Lunch help everybody win?
